Hmmm... How about crimes committed by those already bathing in luxury, that had all opportunities and possibilities in life to grow and better themselves but still chose to break the law ? (think financial crimes, think unethical corporate practices, think rape... You know, the kind of scandals where people with power and a 6+ digit incomes are involved). I wonder how effective this approach is for them. What is the recidivism rate for this kind of crimes anyway?...
