That is one sensible move by Hyundai ❤️ It's not only touchsceen VS buttons, it's about finding the right balance between the two as some features (like a build-in navigation system) require a screen anyway.

The other important thing is to make a difference between what the driver needs while driving VS information that can be interesting once off the road. The image you shared of the screen with the EV battery status seems to be a good counter-example: you really do not need to view your "EV economy history" while driving and the screen is way too dense.

I had the chance of driving a somewhat older Audi car with touchscreen and buttons yesterday and in my opinion they really nailed it. They found the perfect balance. I will try to write an article about it soon.
