Very wise words. Emotions and relationships are universal topics. Our live is a sequence of human interactions. Your family may not understand or even be interested by the topics you love (just like you might not be crazy about all their passions), but the next time you have interpersonal conflict at work I am sure they will be able to share a similar experience and perhaps even provide advice.

Parents often do not get or understand what their kids do or care about (happens also when you are not a class defector).
